Greene Technology Center's Next Assistant Principal Named

Both the Greeneville City and Greene County School Systems are proud to announce that Mrs. Marsha Hybarger has been selected as the Assistant Principal for Greene Technology Center (GTC).  Mrs. Hybarger has been an educator for 23 years, and has served as an Instructional Specialist at Greeneville City Schools for the last 8 years. Mrs. Hybarger has a bachelor’s degree in Education K-6 Grades from Carson-Newman and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from East Tennessee State University. She was named Teacher of the Year for the East Tennessee Region in 2007. She has been responsible for teaching new standards and professional development to educators for Greeneville City Schools since 2009 and was chosen as one of the first Instructional Academy members in 2016. Mrs. Hybarger was one of 40 Instructional Specialists from across the state of Tennessee to be chosen to be in the Math Coaching project for the 2016-2017 school year in partnership with The Learning Research Development Center of the University of Pittsburgh, the Institute for Learning at the University of Pittsburgh, and the Tennessee Department of Education. 

Regarding her new role, Mrs. Hybarger stated, “I am excited about working at Greene Technology Center and becoming a part of this wonderful school.  What an honor it is to be chosen to work with the educators at GTC and the students that have the privilege to attend there.  Great things are already going on at GTC and I am blessed to join this wonderful team of experts.”

GTC Principal Randy Wells stated, “We are excited to welcome Marsha Hybarger to Greene Technology Center.  She was selected from a large group of extremely qualified candidates.  She will be an excellent addition to our team and we cannot wait to get started.” 

Director of Schools for Greeneville City, Dr. Jeff Moorhouse stated, “I am eager to see the great things that are going to be accomplished under the leadership of Mr. Wells and Mrs. Hybarger. Their experience combined together present tremendous potential for the students of our community.”

Mrs. Hybarger will assume his new role beginning with the upcoming 2017-2018 school year.
