Greeneville High School students have increased their AP scores for the 2nd year in a row. Participation in the AP exams increased by 47%, and passing scores increased by 43%. GHS students have also outperformed the scores of students globally in 8 out of the 11 AP subjects tested including: Biology, Calculus, English Language, English Literature, Human Geography, Music Theory, Physics, and U.S. History.

“We are really pleased with the performance of our students and the hard work of our teachers,” said GHS Principal Patrick Fraley. “We look forward to continue to make these numbers SHINE as we raise the bar for our all of our students!”

“I am so proud of the efforts of the administrators, teachers and students of Greeneville High School,” said Dr. Jeff Moorhouse, Director of Greeneville City Schools. “I admire the efforts of our teachers as they support a growing number of students who are stepping up to the most difficult coursework that we have to offer. I am proud of the students who are accepting the challenge of enrolling in rigorous AP courses, and I am thankful for the families supporting their students who are exploring their “Limitless” potential. I appreciate the administrators for continually exploring opportunities for our students to expand.”

“One of the courses that outperformed the global scores was the AP Language course for 11th graders, offered for the first time last year,” added Dr. Moorhouse “These results continue to show that our students perform above students from across the globe.”
