The Greeneville Boys are 2018 State Sectional Champions!

They beat a very good Clinton Team out Knoxville by a score of 59-54.

The Greene Devils found themselves down 25-21 at half time and then  fought their way back to a 39-39 tie at the end of the 3rd quarter.  Reid Satterfield stepped up and hit 4 3-pointers in the 3rd quarter from DOWNTOWN to put the Greene devils in the driver seat to stay and on the road to victory!

The Greene Devils went on to score 20 points in the 4th quarter to seal the victory and The State Title !

In the four game tournament Reid Satterfield averaged 24 points per game while Jakobi Gillespie averaged 15 points as the “dynamic duo” lead the team to victory!

MVP honors went to Reid Satterfield while All Tournament went to Jakobi Gillespie and Jaden Stevenson.

This is only the second time in the history of the boys program that they have won the State Sectional with the other happening in 2005.

Coach Bill QUOTE - “Congratulations gentlemen, you have earned this state title by the many hours you have put into your game and  out working your opponents.  The future looks bright!   Can’t wait to see what  the next four years have in store for this very special group!”
