Greeneville Middle School is offering a limited number of free Kajeet SmartSpot wireless devices to students who do not have Internet access at home. This program enables students to take home Internet service—absolutely free! Both the device and monthly service fees are fully paid by the district. The program is intended to help Greeneville City Schools students access online resources at home. To ensure peace of mind, these devices use internet content filtering and are scheduled so that they cannot be used between 11 P.M. and 6 A.M. The borrowing limit is one device per household for a one-week period. The devices can be signed out repeatedly throughout the year, but there is a two-day waiting period between check-outs to ensure all students who need to use the devices have access to them. 500 MB of data usage per day is included with the device.
If you wish to give your child permission to use one of these devices, you may call GMS, 639-7841, and ask for Dr. Morris or Mrs. Loewenkamp and they will provide your child a copy of the permission form. Alternatively, you can download a copy of the form by clicking here. Sign the form and have your child bring it to Dr. Morris or Mrs. Loewenkamp.
