Parent Feedback Requested - Greeneville City Schools Online Learning Survey for Grades K-12

Dear GCS Families, As we prepare for the 2021-2022 school year, we appreciate your input in planning for online learning options. While we are confident and excited that our traditional schools will return to normal, we understand that some of our families seek an ongoing online learning option. We are currently in the process of planning for a new, fully online learning option for students in grades K-12. While we are still in the process of planning, the learning pathway for students in grades K-5 will most likely have flexible opportunities for daily live online teacher/student meetings and instruction, as well as recorded lessons and independent work time. The remote learning pathway for students in grades 6-12 will most likely be asynchronous (teacher recorded lessons) with support and individual and group sessions with the teacher as needed. All courses will be taught by highly effective teachers and students who complete the program will earn a Greeneville High School diploma. Students will also have the opportunity to try out and participate in Greeneville Middle School and Greeneville High School sports teams and extracurricular opportunities. We plan to use the survey below to gauge interest in ongoing online learning opportunities for our students and to use your feedback in planning the program. This survey will NOT be used to indicate your final decision. Once feedback is gathered and plans are finalized, you will have the opportunity to indicate your final choice of learning option prior to the beginning of the school year. Please complete a survey for each child who is enrolled in Greeneville City Schools. Deadline to complete this survey is April 2, 2021.
