GMS Lego Teams compete in Washington County Regional First Lego League Competition

On Saturday, Dec. 8th, the GMS LEGO League competed in the Musket Alliance Qualifier at David Crockett High School in Jonesborough, TN. Both the Block Jocks and the GMS Mind Stormers represented Greeneville City Schools in the competition.

The Block Jocks earned a second place finish in Robot Performance and the top award, winning a 1st place Overall Champions award for the second consecutive year. The Block Jock team is comprised of these GMS students:

The Mind Stormers had a very successful day finishing 5th out of 21 teams in the table game, and getting high marks in the areas of Robot Design, Project Presentation, and Core Values. This led the team to earn a 3rd place Championship Award. The Championship Awards are reserved for the top 3 teams of the day.

Both the Block Jocks and the Mind Stormers have earned advancement to the state championship at Tennessee Tech. University, which will be held on February 9, 2019.
