Mrs. Rachel Adams

Welcome to Greeneville Middle School, home of the Devils!

I am honored and thrilled to join the Greeneville Middle School team and its tradition of academic excellence and phenomenal school spirit. I look forward to working with the students, staff, and families of the Greeneville community in the upcoming school year. I am excited to begin our work together and believe our combined experiences, knowledge, and passions will continue the tradition of excellence.  I believe cultivating a rich learning environment with high expectations focused on meeting the needs of the “whole child” is essential for the success of all of our students, and I will work hard every day to do so.

Before moving to Greeneville City Schools, I taught for eight years and served as an administrator for five years in Washington County, Tennessee. I have a Bachelor of Science in Education in Interdisciplinary Studies (K-6) from East Tennessee State University, a Master of Arts in Education in Curriculum and Instruction (K-12) from Tusculum University, and an Education Specialist in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. I am currently finishing my dissertation to attain a Doctorate of Education in Instructional Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.

I am a native of East Tennessee and have lived in Johnson City for the past 17 years. I look forward to moving closer to the Greeneville community and getting to know my new Greeneville family.  I am a proud mom to my 12-year-old son, Anthony, and married to my husband, Jarrod. I love to cook, travel, hike, read, attend concerts and plays, exercise, and run. In fact, I have completed four marathons and look forward to completing another one soon!

I hope that your child’s middle school experience at Greeneville Middle School is enjoyable and challenging as we prepare our students socially, emotionally, physically, and certainly academically for a successful future. I know we are faced with a great deal of uncertainty at this time, but I can assure you that the faculty and staff of Greeneville Middle School is working hard to ensure all of our students have an excellent educational experience. Please contact me by phone at (423) 639-7841 or email at [email protected] if you have any compliments, suggestions, questions, or concerns.

Sincerely,

Rachel Adams
