Mrs. Edie Debord
I have been working in the GMS library since 2021 (Ms. Fox is fabulous to work with!), and one of my favorite tasks as Mrs. Fox’s Assistant is to help students find a book they will love to read! I like the idea of encouraging students to read because it will help them to learn, concentrate and increase their vocabulary. I have previous library experience. I worked in the children’s library in a public library in Kentucky. While working there, I learned a great deal about children’s literature. I have a real appreciation well-written stories! I received a Bachelor’s degree in print Journalism from UGA and worked in the field of Tourism Sales & Marketing in Georgia for many years. I have been married to my husband, Tim for 27 years. We have 2 grown children. Our son is an Army Ranger stationed in Olympia, Washington. Our daughter is an ETSU graduate and attends Medical School in Blacksburg, VA. I’m still waiting patiently for grandchildren!
