About Me

My name is Lisa Loewenkamp and I have been the Technology Leader at Greeneville Middle School since 2009. We are a one-to-one school district, so every student at GMS has their own computing device. I support approximately 700 users, both students and staff. My duties include keeping the GMS website up-to-date, repairing the computers and all other tech-related equipment, training users, and keeping teachers and students from stressing when the technology they are trying to use in the classroom is uncooperative. 

I am a native of Washington State, where I spent the first 18 years of my life. I graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana with a B.S. degree in Statistics and completed further course work towards my Master's degree in Industrial Engineering. I married my high-school sweetheart, Scott, who is also a graduate of Purdue. His job transfer brought us to Greeneville many years ago.

My hobbies include reading, staying in shape, learning new tech skills, photography and travelling. I have visited 49 out of 50 US States and one US territory, 5 Canadian provinces, 1 Canadian territory, and several islands in the Caribbean. 

I have two sons, both adults, who went through the Greeneville City School system. The oldest graduated from ETSU and works for a software company in Ohio. His lovely wife is an Actuary with an insurance company based in Ohio. The youngest graduated from UT Knoxville and is an officer in the United States Space Force. He is married to my lovely daughter-in-law, a cardiac care nurse.
