T-CAP Testing

Each year, students in the state of Tennessee participate in the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program better known to students and parents as T-CAP. These tests are given in compliance with Every Student Succeeds Act §1177 and Tennessee Code Annotated (T.C.A.) §49-1602. Beginning in Tennessee in 1988, the T-CAP features tests in English language arts (ELA), math, social studies, and science.  Alternative programs like MSAA and T-CAP-Alt for students with special needs are also part of T-CAP.  Each year the state releases a window for scheduling the TCAP assessments, which can be found here.  Districts and schools work together to then build a schedule that works best for their students.

It is important to note that students will be taking their T-CAP assessments online for the 23-24 school year.
