This week in GMS Athletics.

GMS golf continues to excel!
In girls action, GMS picked up a big road win, upsetting last year’s district runner-up Chuckey-Doak by four strokes on their home course!
Maelynn Hux led all girls with a 49.
Addison Jeffers had the third-best score of the day with a 51.
Cadence Clevenger also had a strong performance.
GMS defeated South Greene Middle and North Greene Middle as well.
In boys action, GMS defeated Chuckey-Doak, South Greene, and North Greene. Maps Gray recorded the lowest boys score of the day with a 39.
Alex Hopson tied for the second-lowest score with a 40.
Jaxson Lester and Dalton Donahue rounded out the scoring for GMS.
GMS will be back in action next Tuesday, with 8th Grade Night on Thursday, April 23.

GMS golf continued its success on the golf course on Tuesday! The boys’ teams defeated South Greene MS and Bulls Gap, and lost by a very close 2 strokes to Rogersville City - all while playing a lot of young players.

On Monday at McDonald Hills, GMS had its first golf match against Rogersville, Bulls Gap, and South Greene Middle. GMS boys finished second in the match. Maps Gray was the top GMS scorer and second overall with a 40. In the Girls match, GMS finished with the best team score for 1st on the day. Maelynn Hux was the lowest scorer for GMS and the lowest girls score of the day. Congratulations!

Today's home Baseball game has been canceled. Players will practice at Legion Field, Greeneville at normal time.
