A community event flyer titled “36th Annual Ogle Neas Kids Fishing Day.” The event takes place at Dillard Ponds, located on Viking Mountain Road in Greeneville, Tennessee, on May 2, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is open to children ages 12 and under. GMS golf continues to excel!
In girls action, GMS picked up a big road win, upsetting last year’s district runner-up Chuckey-Doak by four strokes on their home course!

Maelynn Hux led all girls with a 49.
Addison Jeffers had the third-best score of the day with a 51.
Cadence Clevenger also had a strong performance.
GMS defeated South Greene Middle and North Greene Middle as well.

In boys action, GMS defeated Chuckey-Doak, South Greene, and North Greene. Maps Gray recorded the lowest boys score of the day with a 39.
Alex Hopson tied for the second-lowest score with a 40.
Jaxson Lester and Dalton Donahue rounded out the scoring for GMS.

GMS will be back in action next Tuesday, with 8th Grade Night on Thursday, April 23.

GMS golf continued its success on the golf course on Tuesday! The boys’ teams defeated South Greene MS and Bulls Gap, and lost by a very close 2 strokes to Rogersville City - all while playing a lot of young players.

Maps Gray was the lowest score for GMS for the day with a 39. He was the second lowest boy score of the day. Jaxson Lester, Neal Bernard, and Baze were the scoring golfers for GMS.

On the girl’s side, GMS defeated South Greene, Rogersville, and Bulls Gap. Addison Jeffers was the lowest girls score for the day and shot her best score in a match at 50. Maelynn Hux was the other scoring girl. Sydni Nelson played great in her first ever match at GMS!

GSM will be back in action on Thursday.

On Monday at McDonald Hills, GMS had its first golf match against Rogersville, Bulls Gap, and South Greene Middle. GMS boys finished second in the match. Maps Gray was the top GMS scorer and second overall with a 40. In the Girls match, GMS finished with the best team score for 1st on the day. Maelynn Hux was the lowest scorer for GMS and the lowest girls score of the day. Congratulations!
