The Greeneville City Schools Family Resource Center is excited to share that the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee is participating in the Summer Food Service Program.
Meals will be provided to all children without charge and will be the same for all children. The program begins on June 4th and will end on July 30th.


GMS welcomes our new Head Football Coach, Mr. Todd Pait.
Coach Pait comes to GMS with a wealth of experience and knowledge.

Thanks to all the community members who came to speak to our 7th-graders about their careers on Day 3! We had barbers, park rangers, entrepreneurs, business owners, a realtor, an electrician, a lineman, and a farmer!


Today is Speech Language Pathologist Day! We are very thankful to have Alex Standridge at GMS! Thanks for all you do for the kids, Alex!

TSSAA State Championship
GMS students who competed in the TSSAA State Championship Meet this weekend made GMS proud!
In the Long Jump, Zy Neal finished in 2nd place.
The GMS 4 x 100 team of Andres Bowman, Zy Neal, Juelz Mann, and Jalyn Kerwin finished in 1st place!
In the Long Jump, Jalyn Kerwin finished in 5th place.
In the High Jump, Andrew Bowman took 1st place!
In the discus, Jayden Francisco finished in 5th place.
In the 1600, Maggie Moore finished in 8th place.
The GMS Track & Field Team finished in overall 2nd place, Runner-Up to the TMSAA State Champions.
Congratulations to all the athletes and coaches!

On Day 2, GMS 7th graders heard from Veterinarians, an Occupational Therapist, a Nurse Anesthetist, a Business Sales representative, a Pharmacist, an Ultrasound Technician, and a Financial Advisor.

GMS Athletics: Golf State Championship
On Tuesday, May 13th, 2025, GMS golf standout Nathan Howlett participated in the 2025 TMSAA Middle School State Golf Tournament. Continuing his success from the 2025 season, Nathan came home with a 3rd place finish. Out of forty-two golfers, Nathan scored a 76 on the day and finished in 3rd place. Nathan finishes the season with a 37.9 golf average.



Thank you to all the community members who shared career information with our 7th-grade students on Tuesday, May 13th!
Students learned about the jobs of Public Defender and attorney, life in the Air Force, and as an ROTC college instructor, and jobs in the concrete industry. We had representatives of the Police Force and Fire Department as well.

ALL after-school events for Thursday, May 8th, have been cancelled due to the threat of severe weather. This includes the RISE program and the ELL registration blitz.

GMS Athletics: Golf, May 7, 2025
GMS competed in the 2025 Sectionals at Dandridge Golf and Country Club on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025. Maelynn Hux qualified as an individual. She recorded her lowest 9-hole score of the season on the front 9 and finished up in 13th place overall as a 6th grader. This concludes her amazing 6th-grade season.
The boys’ teams came into sectionals undefeated on the season and came up just a little short. They finished 2nd place in the public-school division and only missed going to state by 5 strokes. Nathan Howlett continued his great play in his 8th-grade season, shooting a 69 (-3). This was his best match score of the season. He was the overall Sectional champion with the best score out of all the boys on the day. He will advance to play in the state tournament next week, representing GMS as an individual competitor. Maps Gray finished in 14th place. Jaxson Lester finished in 33rd place. Alex Hopson finished in 35th place. Jackson Shipley finished in 38th place.
The GMS golf team was very appreciative of Jason Horne coming out to support the golfers today. Dr. Horne is the Assistant Director of Schools for Administration.
Nathan Howlett will participate in the 2025 TMSAA golf state tournament next week.
